Dear Mr. Robert Siefert and Mrs. Janet Siefert

My name is Bradford Barrett. Let me first an foremost thank you for your generous endowment of the Jacob Siefert ’01 Memorial Corps Chaplain. Your generous support means a great deal to me and to my family. I was born in Texas on June 30, 1988 to Scott and Kerry Barrett Soon after my father, who worked for Blockbuster video at the time, moved with the company to South Florida. I lived there in the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area for the next 20 years where I graduated from Calvary Christian Academy in Ft. Lauderdale. While in high school I was a spirited if not talented football player. I was active in the school’s debate and theatre clubs leading our debate society to a State Championship in Florida and a hard fought loss in the National Championships at Harvard. I was always interested in the school’s student government becoming the student body president as a sophomore and holding the office until my graduation.
Whether leading or following, I always gave my total effort in everything I did, and took my successes to glorify God and my failures as opportunities to grow. I am a Junior this year in Company P-2. As chaplain it is my responsibility to care for the freshman in their spiritual growth and emotional development over the course of their fish year. I am currently and English and History major pursuing a Commission in the US Navy as a line officer. The corps has taught me a great deal and given me life experiences I will never forget.
I would be honored to meet with you and thank you in person whenever you are in College Station. My contact information is above. Once again, I would like to extend my sincerest and most humble gratitude as the recipient of your scholarship. Thank you for your support and prayers.

Very Respectfully,
Bradford Barrett
