I don’t know if you saw this article from the New York Times.

It has just captivated my imagination.

A husband photographer of one of these four women (they are all sisters) took a picture of them forty years ago.

Then he took a picture of them every year, requesting only that they pose in the same order. For the next forty years.

These are portraits of four women, whose lives we know nothing about really, but that over forty years, their love for each other is increasingly evident. Their 40 year picture shows love deeply ingrained despite whatever may have produced the smiles or the gentle sadness or the protective stance one has for another.

It’s beautiful, isn’t it? The beauty of love.
